I have been making this cake for so long I can’t even remember where I got the recipe from… But it’s so good and so easy – my favorite combination! Nate actually waits for the Spring and Summer to roll around so he can request this dessert while the berries are in season. You can use strawberries, raspberries, really any berries you are in the mood for – Mmmm! In the case of this cake, I used strawberries and blueberries and made a big beautiful berry flower on top of the berry-filled cake. I was totally in love with the look of it. I didn’t want to use a ton of food coloring though because honestly, I don’t like the taste of it. So I improvised and came up with these beauties! The best part? Strawberries and Cream Pie is one of those desserts that looks really fancy but only takes a few minutes to make and is absolutely delicious too! Strawberries and Cream Pie is one of my very favorite desserts because it is so easy to make and everyone just loves it! I’m not a very big fan of traditional pies, but I found this recipe a few years ago and it has become a family favorite for pie and non-pie fans alike!  I have only used strawberries, but you can use any fruit or combination of fruit and I’m sure it would still be delicious.  I think raspberries would be wonderful with this recipe…maybe I’ll try that next time. Berries and Cream Pie with Hot Fudge

Cool dessert are the best in the summer time so this pie really hit the spot at our last family dinner! It’s super fast to make and it was such a huge hit! It’s not overly sweet so topping it with hot fudge really adds a nice touch. This started out as a healthier berries and cream pie dessert but it just begged for chocolate on top, so I indulged. Patriotic Marshmallow Bark

I’m a huge fan of marshmallows, so I take every opportunity to create a simple dessert that includes them. I used my Easter Marshmallow Bark as inspiration. That and I saw these darling red, white and blue Star Marshmallows at Walmart and knew I needed to make something with them! Like most chocolate barks, this recipe is super easy and super fast. Strawberry and Cream Napoleon

The delicious dessert known as a Strawberry and Cream Napoleon is of French origin and is also known as mille-fueille, or “a thousand leaves.” It consists of puff pastry cooked and cut into squares, with layers of fresh cream and strawberries  and is topped with powdered sugar and more fresh strawberries. There are also other versions that are savory, but today I am excited to share this sweet Strawberry and Cream Napoleon recipe. I love making trifles because they look so fancy, but they are so easy to put together! I had never made one with red velvet cake before, but it is the perfect base for a patriotic dessert, especially when topped off with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries!
