How to make Red, White & Blue Fudge
Line a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper and spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside. Set out 3 medium-sized bowls as well.
Add the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk to a large saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Once the mixture comes to a boil, lightly boil for 5 minutes and stir constantly. Remove from heat. Immediately add the marshmallow creme and white chocolate chips, and stir until everything is combined and smooth.
Evenly divide the mixture into the three bowls you set out. Add red food coloring to one bowl and mix, add blue to the other bowl and mix. Leave one bowl white. Add the blue mixture to the prepared baking dish, spread out evenly, add the white on top and spread out evenly, then add the red on top and spread.
You can leave the layers like this, or you can use a butter knife to swirl the layers together to create a marbled effect. If desired, add sprinkles immediately.
Let the fudge cool for about 20-30 minutes and then chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before slicing.

WHEN TO SERVE FUDGE
There is absolutely no wrong time for fudge! While this fudge is perfect for Memorial Day or the 4th of July, you can use any colors you’d like for the layers. Red, white, and green are perfect for Christmas, or you can do red, white, and pink for Valentine’s Day. Fudge is great any day of the week or as a simple weekend treat – fudge deserves to be enjoyed all year long!
HOW LONG IS FUDGE GOOD FOR?
Keep your fudge in a closed, airtight container and place it in the fridge for up to 1 week. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months. I do not recommend keeping it out at room temperature for too long (more than 2 hours) at a time, it starts to soften up and the consistency gets a bit messy.
CAN YOU FREEZE FUDGE?
Yes, after the candy has completely set, you can safely freeze it in an airtight container for up to 3 months. I like to cut the fudge into squares and then wrap each one in plastic wrap before putting them all in a container or ziplock bag. This way, the fudge doesn’t stick together and it’s easy to grab one piece out at a time…any time you need a sweet treat. Each piece only takes a few minutes at room temperature to thaw out. Although, the fudge is pretty yummy frozen too!
