This Glazed Strawberry Fruit Pizza is a show-stopping dessert made with a soft sugar cookie crust, creamy filling, fresh strawberries, and a sweet strawberry glaze. It’s an easy and impressive recipe that starts with store-bought cookie dough and ends with a glossy finish that looks as amazing as it tastes.
We love strawberries and sugar cookies, so combining them in this strawberry pizza was a no-brainer! This easy recipe is bright, fruity, and sweet—and it’s always a hit at any gathering.

Recipe Highlights
- Easy shortcut: Uses refrigerated sugar cookie dough to save time and effort while still tasting homemade.

- Customizable & crowd-pleasing: Switch up the fruit or glaze flavor to suit your style—perfect for potlucks, holidays, or summer BBQs.

Ingredients to Make Glazed Strawberry Pizza
Sugar cookie dough: I used 16 oz. of pre-made cookie dough (from the refrigerator section) to save time, but you can definitely make the dough from scratch if you prefer! My favorite sugar cookie recipe is found here. Another option is to make sugar cookie dough from a mix. (If you do make the cookie dough from scratch, your recipe may make more dough than you need for one pizza. You can either make two pizzas if you have enough dough, or you could make the crust a little bit thicker, but make sure to increase the cooking time to make sure that the crust bakes all the way through.)
Cream cheese: Forms the base of the creamy layer and adds tangy flavor. Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before using.
Sour cream: Adds creaminess and a slight tang; can substitute with plain or Greek yogurt.
Vanilla extract: Enhances the flavor of the cream layer. The higher the quality of the vanilla, the better.
Powdered sugar: Sweetens and smooths out the creamy layer.
Strawberries: Fresh strawberries are the star of this strawberry pizza. Make sure to use fresh, ripe berries for the best flavor.
Strawberry Pizza Glaze Ingredients
Water: You will need 2 cups of water to form the base of the glaze.
Sugar: Sweetens the glaze and complements the strawberries.
Cornstarch: Thickens the glaze to give it that shiny finish.
Strawberry Jello mix: Adds bold strawberry flavor and beautiful color to the glaze.

Tips & Tricks for making Glazed Strawberry Fruit Pizza
Full instructions for making the recipe can be found on the recipe card below, but here are a few helpful tips.
- Make the glaze first so it has time to cool before pouring it over the fruit. This helps prevent wilting or soggy strawberries.
- Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the filling. Cold cream cheese can be difficult to blend smoothly.
- Want more fruit? You can easily add kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, or mandarin oranges for a more colorful glazed fruit pizza.
- Let the crust cool completely before adding the cream cheese layer to avoid melting and a runny filling.
- Use a strawberry slicer or egg slicer to quickly cut even slices of strawberries for a uniform look.
- Chill before serving for at least 1–2 hours. This helps the glaze set fully and makes slicing easier.

Storing Glazed Strawberry Fruit Pizza
This strawberry pizza is best enjoyed the same day, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 day once assembled. To keep it fresh, cover it tightly with plastic wrap.
If you want to prep ahead, store the baked crust, cream cheese filling, glaze, and strawberries separately in the fridge. Assemble a few hours before serving.

GLAZED STRAWBERRY FRUIT PIZZA RECIPE
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. refrigerated sugar cookie dough (16 oz)
- 1 8 oz pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 cups fresh strawberries halved
GLAZE:
- 2 cups water
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- ⅓ cup cornstarch
- 1 small box strawberry Jello mix
Instructions
CRUST
- Spread cookie dough out evenly on a well-greased 14″ pizza pan. Bake at 350 for about 13-15 minutes or until the crust is just barely turning a light golden brown. Let cool completely.
- Use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla and powdered sugar together until smooth. Spread on top of the cooled crust.
- Arrange the fresh strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer and then top with the glaze. Refrigerate until ready to serve. (You may want to make the glaze first so that it can be cooling while you make the crust.)
GLAZE
- Put the water, sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until the mixture is clear and thick. Add the Jello and stir until well combined.
- Remove from heat and cool completely before pouring over the strawberries on the pizza.

FAQs
Can you make fruit pizza in advance? Yes! You can prepare all the layers ahead of time and assemble the strawberry pizza a few hours before serving for best results.
Can you freeze fruit pizza? The assembled glazed fruit pizza doesn’t freeze well, but the sugar cookie crust can be baked and frozen separately. Thaw and assemble when ready.
Can you make fruit pizza without cream cheese? Yes! You can use Cool Whip, Greek yogurt, or vanilla yogurt as a substitute for the cream cheese layer.
Is fruit pizza healthy? It’s more of a dessert, but you can lighten it up by using yogurt instead of cream cheese, skipping the glaze, and loading up on fresh fruit. If you use Greek yogurt, you can add a few grams of protein to each serving as well!
How do I keep the glaze from making the crust soggy? Make sure the glaze is completely cooled before adding it to the fruit, and serve within a few hours of assembling.

This looks so delicious. I was wondering if I could use frozen strawberries and if I can make individual pies using cupcake pans.? Thank you

I think individual pies sound like a great idea! I’ve never tried frozen strawberries – they might work, but you have to be careful with frozen fruit because there is generally more liquid than with fresh fruit.
