Here is a fantastic collection of our best fudge recipes! Fudge is delicious all year round, but is especially popular around the holidays. Fudge is rich, creamy, delicious, and perfect for sharing with family and friends.
WHEN TO SERVE FUDGE
There is absolutely no wrong time for fudge! While fudge is mostly seen gifted and served up around the Christmas holidays and in cookie exchanges, it does just as well being served up for Valentine’s day and anniversaries too. You can serve it up any night of the week or as a simple weekend treat, fudge deserves to be enjoyed all year long!
HOW LONG IS FUDGE GOOD FOR?
Keep your fudge squares in a closed, airtight container and place it in the fridge for up to 1 week. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months. I do not recommend keeping it out at room temperature for too long (more than 2 hours) at a time, it starts to soften up and the consistency gets a bit messy.

STOVETOP FUDGE RECIPES
Peanut Butter Fudge is made easily with only 4 simple ingredients, no candy thermometer needed! This easy fudge recipe is made with delicious and simple ingredient you can find in your pantry: peanut butter, sugar, milk and vanilla extract- that’s it! See the recipe for Easy Peanut Butter Fudge.
Easy Peanut Butter Fudge
- 2 cups sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup peanut butter
- Prepare an 8X8 (or 9X9) square pan with buttered foil. To do this, cut apiece of foil that is slightly larger than the pan and then spread softened butter on the foil with a spatula or by placing your hand in a plastic bag like a glove and using your fingers to spread the butter on the foil. Press the foil into the pan, butter side up. The foil should come at least most of the way up the sides.
Making the Fudge
- Next, in a medium saucepan, bring the sugar and milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil for 2 1/2 minutes.
- After the 2 1/2 minutes, remove the mixture from heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
Set and serve
- Proceed to pour the fudge mixture into prepared pan and let set for about1-2 hours in the refrigerator before slicing and serving.
- To slice, just remove the entire foil from the pan and fold the edges down flat. It is so much easier to slice and serve this way than trying to do it while it is still in the pan!
- Serve and enjoy!

CAN YOU FREEZE FUDGE?
Yes, after the candy has completely set, you can safely freeze it in an airtight container for up to 3 months. I like to cut the fudge into squares and then wrap each one in plastic wrap before putting them all in a container or ziplock bag. This way, the fudge doesn’t stick together and it’s easy to grab one piece out at a time…any time you need a sweet treat. Each piece only takes a few minutes at room temperature to thaw out. Although the fudge is pretty yummy frozen too.
