Peppermint oreo fudge
It’s a wonderful combination of America’s favorite cookie and a traditional winter candy all packed into a rich and creamy chocolate fudge square. You’re going to love how easy this recipe is to make and how wonderful the flavors come through. With crushed peppermints and mint Oreo cookies, every bite is a tasty experience.
Ingredients for Chocolate Peppermint Fudge
-Chocolate chips: For a chocolate fudge we will need 3 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips (this is about 1 ½ 8-ounce bags of chocolate chips).
-Condensed milk: You will need 1 14-ounce sized can of sweetened condensed milk to help give our fudge a nice consistency.
-Oreos: To add more mint to our fudge use 12 mint-flavored Oreo cookies.
-Peppermints: You will need about 6 crushed peppermint candies.
How to make Mint Chocolate Oreo Fudge
Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper or foil and then spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each and repeating until smooth and melted.
Crush up half of the Oreos and place them into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Pour your fudge on top of the oreo cookies.
Crush the remaining Oreos and peppermints and then sprinkle them on top.
Place the dish in the fridge to chill for at least 3 hours or until the fudge has set.
Cut into small squares and serve. Enjoy!
Can I use Different Oreo’s?
I used mint Oreos to add both the mint flavor as well as the green color. But yes, you are welcome to use another type of Oreo cookies! You can always use the basic ones, or use something like Fudge Brownie or even the Peppermint or Peppermint Bark Oreo’s. There are so many choices!

Can you freeze fudge?
Yes, fudge can freeze and do very well if stored in an airtight container. I recommend keeping this fudge already cut into serving-sized squares before freezing because it makes serving much easier. As the chocolate ages in the freezer, you may notice a white separation, this is normal and harmless. The peppermint on top of the fudge may also begin to sweat, bleed color, or become a soft sticky mess, but the taste will still be great.
Can I make oreo fudge with milk chocolate?
Yes, simply swap out the semi-sweet chocolate chips for milk chocolate chips and you’re good to go! You can also swap them for white chocolate chips if desired.
