Homemade Peach Slurpees just 3 ingredients & minutes to make! Fresh peaches, sugar & an ICE drink & you’ve got your own Homemade Slurpees!
This healthy frozen peach drink is a kid friendly recipe that you’re going to love. It’s perfect for hot weather days when you just need something cold and refreshing. Knowing that it’s healthy is an added bonus because unlike store bought slurpees these have no crazy preservatives or dyes added, so you can feel good about drinking it.
Making Homemade Peach Slurpees
Several years ago, I took my kids to the “Free Slurpee Day” at our local 7-11 and it was love at first slurp. Since then, we’ve gone nearly every year for free slurpee day, but my kids ask for slurpees all summer long.
Since the weather has finally warmed up to the point of cold drinks sounding appetizing, I decided to whip up a slightly healthier (and easier!) version to enjoy with dinner the other night. We loved it and it’s my go-to recipe for homemade slurpees now.
I like things less sweet, but if you have a sweet tooth, or even a regular tooth, you’ll want to use more sugar. You can also use sprite in place of the soda water since it has a less bitter flavor. The soda water (or sprite) is the key to making this drink a hit, and gives it the zip that you expect with a slurpee.
Adding Carbonation to Slurpees
You can use Soda Water, club soda, 7-up or Sprite. You may even be able to use Gingerale and get a similar tasting result. The tastes may vary with each type of fizzy drink added because they each have their own unique flavor, but they all will give the needed fizziness to complete this drink.
Can I Use Other Fruits?
Absolutely! If you don’t have any frozen peaches you can always try a different fruit. Personally I think frozen strawberries would be amazing in this recipe! Mix and match to blend together something unique like you would at the slurpee machine when you layer flavors in a cup or keep your drink simple and one fruit at a time.
Homemade Peach Slurpee Ingredients
frozen peaches: you can use fresh or canned peaches, but they MUST be frozen! I just toss them in a large ziplock bag the night before and they’re perfect!
Some type of lemon-lime or minimally flavored SODA: We love ICE drinks lately, so we’ve been using those to make Slurpees!
sugar: we’re going to sweeten it up! Use what you’d like- agave or honey work well too! If your peaches are super sweet you won’t need much!
How to Make Homemade Fresh Fruit Slurpees
In a blender, combine your frozen peaches with soda and sugar.
Blend on high speed for about 1 minute until smooth. Don’t over-blend or you’ll literally blend out all the carbonation. You want to still have some fizz!
Serve and Enjoy.

What Else Can I Do With This Slurpee Mix?
Pouring this mixture into popsicle molds and freezing is a great idea that we do often. My kids love it! It’s all the great tastes of a peach slurpee but without any of the drinking mess because it’s portable and easy with a popsicle stick.
How Long Do Slurpees Last?
Unless you freeze it to eat it popsicle style this drink doesn’t last very long. It lasts about as long as it stay frozen and cold, so as it thaws and warms it becomes much less enjoyable. It’s recommended to only make this drink if you’re only going to drink it immediately.
