Hash Brown Breakfast Pizza made with a hash brown crust, scrambled eggs, diced ham, cheese and any other toppings you’d like! Delicious breakfast pizza recipe you can serve for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Does anyone else love breakfast foods as much as I do? I could eat breakfast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We usually have breakfast for dinner at least once or twice a week and I love trying out new recipes. I found this breakfast pizza recipe recently and can’t believe I’ve never made this before because it is amazing!
Are hash browns gluten free?
Hash browns are gluten free, but make sure you check packaging to ensure that the potatoes are not coated in flour. Ore-Ida Shredded Hash Browns are gluten-free, and there are other brands that are too, but not all brands are.
HASH BROWN BREAKFAST PIZZA
Hash Brown Breakfast Pizza is made by mixing frozen hash browns with egg to make a crust. Once the crust has baked for a few minutes, you can add the toppings. Spread scrambled eggs over the top of the hash browns and then add any other toppings you want. Green peppers, diced ham, bacon, onions, and mushrooms are all great ideas! Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and bake for another 20 minutes before slicing and serving just like pizza.
INGREDIENTS IN HASH BROWN BREAKFAST PIZZA
HASH BROWN CRUST
Frozen hash browns – You will need 24 ounces (4 cups) of frozen shredded hash browns. Let them thaw out for at least 30 minutes before making the recipe. You can also shred your own potatoes if you prefer.
Egg – You will need to add 1 beaten egg to the hash browns to help bind them together.
Salt – Just a half teaspoon of salt adds some flavor to the hash browns.
BREAKFAST PIZZA TOPPINGS
Eggs – The recipe calls for 7 eggs to scramble and spread over the top of the hash brown crust. You can make a little less or a little more, depending on how much you like eggs. You can also swap out some of the eggs with egg whites if you are looking to increase protein and decrease the fat.
Milk – Add 1/2 cup of milk to the eggs before scrambling to make them a little creamier. Any kind of milk will work great!
Cheese – The recipe calls for 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, but you can reduce the amount or swap it out if you’d like.
Other optional toppings – There are so many options for toppings. Some of our favorites include chopped green pepper, sliced mushrooms, diced ham, chopped green onions and/or crumbled bacon. Add whatever you want!

WHEN TO SERVE HASH BROWN BREAKFAST PIZZA
Hash Brown Breakfast Pizza is perfect for special occasions (like Christmas morning!), but it is simple enough to make for just a regular weekday morning too.
I don’t know about all of you, but getting kids up and ready in the mornings can be a little chaotic and sometimes everyone is just grabbing whatever they can find to eat. I just feel so much better when my kids get a really good breakfast before they head off for the day. I love being able to serve my kids a filling breakfast before they rush off to school and they absolutely love this breakfast pizza.
What to serve with Breakfast Pizza
Breakfast pizza is pretty filling and balanced because it has potatoes, eggs, cheese and lots of veggies (if you choose to add them). I often serve it just on it’s own, but it’s super easy to add some fruit on the side. We love oranges, strawberries, grapes, bananas and apples and they all pair well with breakfast recipes.
