Ingredients in Parmesan Crusted Baked Salmon
Mayonnaise – Just a tiny little bit of mayonnaise helps to add moisture and flavor to the salmon. If you prefer not to use mayonnaise, you can add a little salt and pepper to some plain Greek yogurt instead!
Parmesan cheese – Just 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese is enough for 4 fillets of salmon.
Ground red pepper – You can use black pepper if you prefer. You’ll only need 1/8 teaspoon to be divided over all 4 fillets.
Salmon fillets – You will need 4 salmon fillets with the skin removed. If you are using frozen salmon, make sure it is completely thawed before preparing the recipe.
Lemon juice – You can use fresh lemon juice or the kind from the bottle in the fridge.
Ritz crackers – Ritz crackers make up the delicious crust on top of the salmon. You only need 10 crackers, but feel free to add a few more if you want more crumbs on top.

What temperature do you cook salmon at?
Most food cooks at about 350°, but you’ll want to cook the salmon at a higher temperature. Bake salmon at 400° and it should only take about 12-15 minutes to cook through completely.
How can you tell if salmon is cooked all the way through?
There are a couple of ways to tell if your salmon is cooked properly. Use a fork to flake off some of the fish in the center of the fillet. If the top of the fish is flaking off easily, your salmon is cooked.
Another way to tell if your salmon is done is to use a meat thermometer. The temperature in the center of the fillet should be about 125°-130°F. My all-time favorite meat thermometer is the Thermapen. It’s super fast and incredibly durable. Another great meat thermometer is the ThermoPop which is a more basic version that works just as well!
