Easy Easter M&M Blondies are soft, chewy and perfect for spring! Delicious homemade blondie recipe that only takes a few minutes to make.
I love making desserts for every special occasion and holiday. This blondie recipe is perfect because you can use M&Ms to coordinate with the current season. Use different colored M&Ms for Easter, Christmas, baby showers, Halloween or Valentine’s Day.
What is a blondie?
Blondies are basically brownies without the chocolate! They are very similar to cookie bars, but generally have less flour which yields in a richer and denser consistency that is more like a brownie than a cookie. You can eat blondies plain or add in chocolate chips, M&Ms or anything else you’d like! And like many other baked goods, blondies are even better when eaten warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Easy Easter M&M Blondies
M&M Blondies are made with flour, baking powder, butter, eggs, brown sugar, sugar, M&Ms and sprinkles. These soft and chewy dessert bars baked with some extra sprinkles and M&Ms on top. Less than 10 minutes of preparation for this simple Easter dessert recipe.
Ingredients in Easy Easter M&M Blondies
Flour – All-purpose flour works best in this recipe.
Baking powder – This acts as the leavening agent in the cookies. Make sure your baking powder isn’t expired!
Salt – Just a little bit of salt helps all of the other flavors to pop!
Sugars – You will need 1/2 of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. For best results, make sure that your brown sugar is fresh. Brown sugar that is dried out will not yield cookie bars that are quite as soft!
Butter – You will need 12 tablespoons of butter (1 1/2 sticks). You can use salted or unsalted butter. Make sure to melt the butter before adding to the recipe. I like to melt butter in the microwave, but you can do it on the stovetop as well.
Vanilla extract – The higher the quality of the vanilla, the better!
Eggs – You will need 2 eggs to bind everything together.
M&Ms – If you are making Easter Blondies, use 1 cup of pastel M&Ms. You can use whatever colors/flavors of M&Ms that you like the best, or whichever ones match the current holiday or special occasion. If you’d like to sprinkle some more M&Ms on top, you will need an additional 1/2-1 cup of M&Ms.
Sprinkles – These are totally optional, but if you want to add sprinkles, you will need about 1/2 cup small sprinkles to mix into the blondies. You can also sprinkle more sprinkles on top of the bars before baking if you’d like!
HOW TO MAKE EASY EASTER M&M BLONDIES
Preheat the oven to 350° F. Grease a 13×9 baking dish with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.
Add the butter, sugar, and brown sugar to a separate large mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer or stand mixer for at least 2-3 minutes.
Mix in the vanilla and eggs and beat for another 2-3 minutes.
Add the flour mixture and mix just until combined.
Fold in the M&Ms and sprinkles.
Scoop the batter into the baking dish and spread it to the edges of the pan, pressing gently until the mixture is evenly spread in the pan. Add about a handful of additional M&Ms and sprinkles to the top of the blondies and bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven.
Allow the blondies to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into 12 equal squares. Or, if you are impatient like I am, scoop them out with a spoon and eat them warm, being careful not to burn your tongue! And add a scoop of vanilla ice cream! 😉

TIPS FOR MAKING AMAZING BLONDIES
Making blondies is pretty easy! Here are some tips to make sure that your M&M blondies turn out right every single time.
- Preheat the oven. This will help your dessert bars to bake evenly every time!
- Mix the wet and dry ingredients separately before mixing them all together.
- Spend a little extra time when you mix the butter and sugars. Creaming them together for at least 2-3 minutes will help the consistency to be perfect.
HOW TO CUT PERFECT BLONDIES
The answer to getting every single blondie cut and looking perfect is parchment paper! I used to always get frustrated with desserts that are made in a 9X13 pan because I felt like I was always destroying the entire first row trying to get them out of the pan! Then I discovered that if you line the pan with parchment paper, you can remove the entire dessert from the pan and slice the blondies perfectly without having a hard time cutting the edges and corners.
If you don’t have parchment paper, you can just grease your pan like you usually do but your first row that you remove from the pan may just not be quite as pretty!
