How to make Butterscotch Rice Krispie Treats
Prep
Start by pouring the rice crispie cereal into a large bowl and set it aside. Also, lightly grease a 9 x 13 pan or glass dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
Cereal mixture
Next, in a medium size saucepan, melt the sugar and corn syrup over medium heat, until the sugar has dissolved. Then add in the peanut butter and mix until smooth. Proceed to pour this mixture over the rice cereal and stir well until completely combined.
After that is complete, pour the cereal mixture into the prepared pan and using your hand covered with a greased Ziploc bag, push the cereal down until the entire top is flat and even across the whole pan.
Melt toppings
Using a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second intervals until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Then, pour the chocolate on top of the rice krispie treat in the pan, smooth it out over the top.
Then, repeat that process with the butterscotch chips. Melt them in the microwave, pour on top of the chocolate layer, use a spatula to smooth the butterscotch over the entire surface of the krispie treat. The two types of chips do not need to completely mix, just create layers the best you can.
Next, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave as well, until smooth. Then, pour the melted white chocolate on the top in small line patterns, drizzling over the chocolate and butterscotch layer. Now, use a toothpick, or pointed wooden skewer, to lightly draw small lines through the white chocolate drizzle going back and forth, to create a swirl pattern.
Chill
Place the pan of krispie treats in the refrigerate for about 20 minutes, until the chocolate and butterscotch is firm.
Once set, cut into 2″ squares, serve and enjoy!

These look wonderful .. BUT, I am from Canada and have no idea what 1/2 a bag is. You might want to include cup equivalents. As it is, I can’t do this recipe now 🙁
