Highlights of this Fruit Dessert Pizza
- The sour cream & egg mixture bake on top of the cake mix for a soft, buttery crust. I know cake mixes have changed sizes, we’ve successfully used a 15.25 oz cake mix and a 13.25 cake mix for this dessert pizza.
- You’re welcome to use homemade lemon curd or store bought! Lemon curd is found by the peanut butter and jam, it usually comes in small jars.
- I use fresh blueberries, but you can use frozen berries if preferred. Just rinse and and lightly blot them dry.

Tips for Making this Lemon Blueberry Dessert Pizza
You can see the full recipe instructions below, but here are a few tips for success:
- Be sure the butter is cold. It tends to combine with the cake mix a tad easier when making the crumble. I like to cut the butter into small cubes and use a fork or pastry cutter for easy mixing.
- Don’t skimp on the lemon! If you’d like to add more lemon flavor, you can use lemon Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream.
- Patience is important. Let the dessert pizza cool at least 10-15 minutes so that it slices and serves easier.
How long is this dessert pizza good for & how do you store it?
This dessert pizza stays fresh for about 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Store it in an airtight container to maintain its delicious taste and texture.
