Triple Berry "Green" Smoothies - Butter With a Side of Bread

Mornings are a little bit crazy around my house since I have four young kids that all happen to be at four different schools this year. I feel like I’m training for a marathon by the time I get done packing lunches, driving around town, walking to bus stops and getting everyone out the door! I usually drink a smoothie in the morning, but even the most nutritious of smoothies doesn’t provide all of the energy I need to get all the way to lunch. I recently discovered belVita Breakfast Biscuits and they are the perfect addition to my smoothie in the morning. I found a huge variety of flavors at Target and decided to try several kinds. I actually really like them all, but the Golden Oat flavor is my favorite – this kind is so yummy! belVita Breakfast Biscuits provide a steady source of energy that lasts all morning which is awesome – and the fact that they taste so good is a huge bonus.

MY LATEST RECIPES

The belVita Blueberry Breakfast Biscuits and the belVita Golden Oat Breakfast Biscuits both come in Value Packs which I appreciate since I have a big family and we go through small packages very quickly. Each of the Value Packs has 12 packs and each of the packs has four breakfast biscuits which is the perfect serving size. My kids are pretty slow at getting out of bed in the morning and we don’t always have time to make an elaborate breakfast, but I feel good about giving them a smoothie and a package of belVita Breakfast Biscuits to start off their day.

I drink green smoothies almost, but my extremely picky kids just won’t drink them if they are green, so I’ve found ways to make them purple and still sneak in some vegetables. This is a very basic smoothie that is so easy to make but has fruits, veggies and protein as well and my kids love it! I usually buy a big bag of spinach and then freeze 1 cup portions in individual freezer bags so that it is all ready to add to my smoothies in the morning.

  1. Such a great idea to freeze 1 cup portions of the spinach! I’m going to start doing that now. I really like how you add in the belVita breakfast biscuits to round out the meal. I drink a lot of smoothies and the whole grains are missing from my breakfasts. [client]
