Nutrition
How long is sugared asparagus good for?
If there are left overs of this dish, you should keep them stored in an airtight container and it will be good for 2-3 days. Although, reheating asparagus does change their texture a bit, just be aware of that. If you are planning to save some of this dish for another day, consider removing some of it from the heat sooner to undercook it a bit. Then, when you are ready to eat it, the asparagus will not be as soft.
Can I use another vegetable in this recipe instead of asparagus?
Yes, I would think you can. I think an alternate vegetable that would taste great cooked this way would be fresh green beans. You could also give carrots a try with this recipe as well. Although we have not tried different veggies using this recipe, I don’t see why they wouldn’t taste delicious as well. Give it a try, let us know how they turn out in the comments below!
