Snickers Brownie Bites is a gem of a recipe I found nearly 10 years ago in a Woman’s Day magazine. Since then I’ve made them from time to time and am always surprised with the results. They are just delicious and look super cute too! The original recipe calls for unsweetened baking chocolate, but I’ve found over the years that I just don’t stock it in my pantry. So now I use cocoa powder instead. I love the new Snickers Bites too- they really make the recipe come together faster! I just topped them with about 1/2 a container of store-bought frosting I heated slightly in the microwave. No need to spread- I love how some of the caramel from the Snickers peeks through!

How do you make Snickers Brownie Bites?

To make these Snickers Brownie Bites you’ll first make the brownie batter. Whisk together butter, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour just until blended. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough into each mini muffin cavity. Press a Snickers mini bites into the center of each cavity. Bake, then let cool slightly and spoon a bit of melted chocolate frosting on top. Sprinkle a few mini M&M candies onto each brownie bite.

What are brownie bites?

Brownie Bites are brownies in bite sized form! You scoop brownie batter into a mini muffin tin and bake them. The results are 2 or 3 bite brownies that are slightly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle. We love brownie bites! See our Chocolate Cherry Brownie Bites recipe here.

Snickers Brownie Bites Recipe Ingredients

3/4 cup butter or coconut oil, softened
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/3 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/2 bag Snickers Bites
1/4 cup mini M&M’s
chocolate frosting for top, if desired

How to make Snickers Brownie Bites

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray mini muffin pan well.
Whisk together butter or oil, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour just until blended.
Spoon 1 TBSP batter into each mini muffin cup. Press a Snickers Bite into the dough, until the dough and top of candy are at the same height.
Bake 16-18 minutes. Remove from oven and completely cool before trying to take the Bites out.
Top with a dollop of frosting and mini M&M’s.

What is the best brand of cocoa powder?

I prefer to use either Premium Cocoa or Ghirardelli cocoa powder for this chocolate mug cake recipe. I used to think all cocoa powder tasted the same, but I learned that it does not! If the flavor of the cocoa powder you use isn’t top notch to begin with, the flavor in your brownie bites will reflect that. So add the two names I mentioned to your grocery list and pick up a container next time you’re at the store.

Can I freeze Brownies?

Yes, you can freeze baked brownies for up to 6 months if stored in an air-tight container. When you’re ready to eat them, just remove the container from the freezer and let thaw to room temperature on the countertop. You can freeze these Snickers Brownie Bites completely assembled- frosting, candy and all!

Much better!! You can just use about 1/2 can of pre-made frosting. I heated it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it, then just dollop a warm teaspoonful on top.
