Krispies: Using in 1 cup of rice krispies gives this candy amazing texture.
Cherries: Adding in 1 cup of dried cherry pieces adds some amazing flavor to this delightful treat.
Chocolate chips: You need 1 ½ bags of milk chocolate chips for a nice chocolatey flavor.
Chocolate bar: Use 1 4-ounce bar of semi-sweet chocolate to bind the ingredients together well.

How to make Rocky Road Chocolates
Prep
Start by greasing a 8x 8 glass baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray, set aside.
Then, chop the marshmallows. If you chose the mini marshmallows you will not need to chop them. If you have the larger marshmallows, you need to chop them into quarters.
In a large microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate bar and chocolate chips together, heat it for 1 minute, then stir, then heat it for 30 second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted. If you over heat it, add a few more chocolate chips and mix it around. It should help the chocolate become smooth again.
Assembly
Proceed to add the marshmallows, chopped pecans, dried cherries, and rice krispies to the melted chocolate and stir well to combine and coat all the ingredients with the chocolate.
Then, pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared greased baking dish and press it down until it has evenly covered the dish.
If desired, you can add sprinkles on the top before the chocolate hardens.

How do you melt chocolate in the microwave?
Melting chocolate in the microwave is easy if you go slowly. Always use a glass or ceramic bowl and chocolate that’s not old. To melt 1 cup of chocolate chips I’d begin with 1 minute in the microwave. After the 1 minute, let chocolate sit for 2-3 minutes. Then, gently stir and see if chocolate begins to melt smooth. If it’s still really solid, add 20 seconds in the microwave, then let it sit again. Often chocolate looks like it’s not melted when it really is, and you don’t know for sure until you gently stir it. If your chocolate melts but it’s too thick to work with, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening, then letting it melt and stirring it in.
