Pumpkin pie Oreo balls ingredients
-Oreos: You will need 1 family-sized package of golden Oreos.
-Cream cheese: Use 7 ounces of softened cream cheese (this is one ounce shy of a brick).
-Pumpkin puree: You will need 1/2cup of pumpkin puree. You can use homemade or storebought.
-Pumpkin pie spice: Adding in ¾ teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice will give you a great warmth of flavor in every bite.
-White chocolate chips: Use 24 ounces of white chocolate chips to become the outer coating of these delicious treats.
-Graham crackers: You will need 2 graham crackers that have been crushed into crumbs.
How to make pumpkin pie Oreo balls
Add your golden Oreos to a food processor and pulse together until fine crumb forms.
Add in the softened cream cheese, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice.
Pulse again until well blended.
As soon as the mixture is fully combined, stop pulsing because you don’t want to overmix.
Use your hands to form the pumpkin mixture into balls the size of a walnut.
Roll in your hands until smooth.
Place each truffle onto an unlined cookie sheet.
Once all of the truffles have been formed, place the cookie sheet into the freezer for about 20 minutes.
Once they’ve hardened a bit, remove them from the freezer and place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds until completely melted.
Drop the truffles into the melted chocolate and use two spoons to turn them around to fully coat.
Place each coated truffle onto the cookie sheet.
Top each truffle with your crushed graham cracker crumbs.
Once all of the truffles are coated and covered in graham cracker crumbs, place the cookie sheet into the fridge until the chocolate is set and has cooled completely. Enjoy!
WHAT’S THAT 3 PRONGED FORK YOU USE TO DIP YOUR OREO CREAM CHEESE BALLS?
The 3 pronged fork I prefer to use to dip each Oreo Ball is a handy Wilton Dipping tool. It’s part of a 3 piece set that make it so incredibly easy to dip candy, or cookie truffles like these, in chocolate.
HOW DO YOU MELT CHOCOLATE IN THE MICROWAVE?
Melting chocolate in the microwave is easy if you go slowly. Always use a glass or ceramic bowl and chocolate that’s not old. To melt 1 cup of chocolate chips I’d begin with 1 minute in the microwave. After the 1 minute, let chocolate sit for 2-3 minutes. Then, gently stir and see if chocolate begins to melt smooth. If it’s still really solid, add 20 seconds in the microwave, then let it sit again. Often chocolate looks like it’s not melted when it really is, and you don’t know for sure until you gently stir it. If your chocolate melts but it’s too thick to work with, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening, then letting it melt and stirring it in.

- Drop the truffle in the melted white chocolate and use two spoons to turn the truffle until fully coated. Place each chocolate-coated truffle on the ungreased baking sheet. Top each truffle with a sprinkling of graham cracker crumbs.

Notes
- You can dip your pumpkin pie truffles in dark or milk chocolate if you’d prefer, but I think white chocolate matches the flavors the best.
- Use a spatula to remove the truffles from the cookie sheet once the chocolate has hardened.

How long do pumpkin truffles last?
These pumpkin truffles will be good for up to 5 days if kept stored in the fridge. For maximum freshness keep them stored in an airtight container after the chocolate has set.
WHAT CHOCOLATE IS BEST FOR DIPPING?
When making candy like this I really find that dipping chocolate just works best. However, you can use chocolate chips instead. I find it works best when you add a small amount – about 1/2 tsp- of shortening or coconut oil to the chocolate chips when you melt them in the microwave.

Kim duff says
Hi, just wondering what do you use the graham crackers for in the Pumpkin pie Oreo balls? II don’t see that part in the recipe directions. Thank you
Jessica says
You just crush them and sprinkle them on top!
Hanna says
What a fun treat! I love pumpkin and white chocolate together! Such an easy treat idea!
Dian says
I made this to take to a family reunion but did not like it came out.
I put the cookies in the processor but had no room for anything else
The center came out like drought not cookie .
Is there an easier way to do this?
Nellie says
Maybe process the cookies in batches – if your food processor isn’t very large, that will definitely work better! The centers should be a more like dough than a cookie since you aren’t baking them – that’s how it’s supposed to be!
Kelsi says
Hello! I just bought all the ingredients to make this. Can’t wait!! But I was wondering if I could make ahead, and then freeze for altleast a week until I needed them for the holidays?
Jessica says
They should be fine frozen, however know that your chocolate on the outside might crack, due to temperature changes.
Maegan says
How many servings does it make?
Nellie says
You should get about 36 oreo balls from the recipe.
Lori says
Could you use regular chocolate versus white chocolate? its what i already have….
I am looking forward to making them
Nicole says
Definitely could. Only difference is color and taste but if you’re fine with it, go for it!
Katie says
Can you freeze the truffles for up to a week before dipping them?
Jessica says
Absolutely!!
Britney says
Not sure yet. Mine came out to doughy to roll so I’m putting in the fridge first then going to try and roll.
I’ve done those before with a different recipe but that only used oreo and cream cheese. Not sure what I did wrong but this may not work for me
CJ says
Save yourself some time and just buy the pumpkin pie Oreos:) Coat with cream cheese Hershey chocolate chips and then sprinkle crushed pecans on top or dust with pumpkin pie spice.
Jessica says
LOL, not the same at all CJ! Have you ever tried Oreo Balls?!
Sue says
Added more cinnamon and loved it.
Thank you
