Orange Cream Cookies Ingredients
-Sugar: We need 1 cup of granulated white sugar to get good sweet cookie dough.
-Butter: Using 1/2 cup (one stick) of softened butter we can get a good rich base. Make sure the butter isn’t melted as that will affect the end results.
-Egg: One egg will work as the binder for this cookie dough recipe so that they don’t crumble apart.
-Vanilla: We need 1 teaspoon of vanilla to help enhance the flavors and create a nice base for the flavors to branch up and off from. You can use high-quality vanilla for an even stronger flavor.
-Orange extract: This is how we get the orange flavor we want. By using 1 teaspoon of orange extract, or 3-4 drops of orange essential oil our cookies can be perfectly flavored.
-Sour cream: 1/3 cup of sour cream will thicken the dough and melt away once baked leaving behind a buttery-rich cookie that melts in your mouth.
-Milk: A tablespoon of milk will make help thin the dough down ever so slightly. You can use cow milk or plant-based.
-Salt: This is a flavor enhancer and makes the other flavors taste even more incredible, so we want to use 1/2 teaspoons of salt.
-Baking soda: 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in the dough will help to leaven it out and give us puffy baked cookies.
-Flour: We need 2 cups of all-purpose flour for the cookie dough’s gluten-filled base.
-White chocolate chips: Adding in one 12 ounce sized bag of white chocolate chips is a great way to get an orange cream flavor in every bite. Plus, they look gorgeous!
-Boxed vanilla pudding: Adding a small box of vanilla pudding (just the dry mix) into the dough will yield a nice cookie texture that’s both flavorful and chewy.
