What to serve with Baked BBQ Kielbasa?
This dish is great to serve as an appetizer, but it also makes a great main dish. We love to serve it over rice or with baked potatoes! Add a fresh salad or some Sugared Asparagus along with a Fancy Fruit Salad and you’ve got a meal. But don’t forget dessert! Try a slice of Glazed Blackberry Bundt Cake or some Marshmallow Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars.
Ingredients in Baked BBQ Kielbasa
Sausage – You will need two (14-ounce) packages of kielbasa sausage. You can use andouille or turkey sausage if you prefer. Slice the sausage before adding it to the recipe.
BBQ sauce – You can use any brand of BBQ sauce that you prefer.
Brown sugar – A little bit of brown sugar helps to sweeten up the sauce a little bit. For best results, make sure the brown sugar is soft and fresh. You can swap out the brown sugar with honey if you prefer.
Dried onion, red pepper flakes, garlic salt – All of these spices add so much flavor to the sauce.
Dijon mustard – Just a tablespoon of Dijon mustard is needed in the sauce.
Parsley – This is optional, but a little bit of fresh, chopped parsley makes a great garnish for the sausage after it is baked.

WHAT BBQ SAUCE IS BEST IN THIS RECIPE?
In the past, I have usually used Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, but I’ve been trying some others lately. Costco has been carrying the Kinder’s brand which I really love because it is organic, has much cleaner ingredients, and I actually think it tastes so much better than many of the other varieties that I’ve tried. I prefer the Mild BBQ flavor, but they have some varieties that have more kick to them if you like spicy!
Blues Hog has a reputation of having some of the best BBQ sauce out there, but I have actually never tried it. It is also made with all-natural ingredients and there are quite a few varieties to try!
