Berries & Cream Pie with Hot Fudge
This pie recipe is a blend of a few different ones that came together harmoniously in every slice. Meant to be a healthier pie option, it turned into something more reminiscent of an ice cream sundae, and honestly, we’re all here for that. Topped off with hot fudge sauce, every slice is a blend of the best things in life.
Berries ‘N Cream Pie Ingredients
-Cream cheese: Giving us the “cream” in the name we have an 8-ounce block of softened cream cheese. This makes the pie taste so rich and tangy good.
-Sugar: You will need 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to make the pie taste nice and sweet.
-Yogurt: Use 1 6 ounce container of vanilla yogurt to give the pie some flavor and nice consistency.
-Cool whip: Using an 8-ounce tub of cool whip will make the pie taste even lighter and fluffier.
-Vanilla: Enhance the flavors in this pie with a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
-Fresh berries: You will need about 1.5 cups each of fresh blueberries and fresh strawberries although other berries could be used as well.
-Graham cracker crust: You can make a graham cracker crust or buy one premade from the store to save on time and effort.
-Hot fudge: This is optional but highly recommended. Top off your pie with some hot fudge sauce before serving.
-Dark chocolate bar: Use a dark chocolate bar to get some fun shavings for garnish on top of the pie.
How to Make Berries and Cream Pie
In a mixing bowl, blend together the cream cheese and sugar until well incorporated.
Add in the yogurt and vanilla, mix well.
Fold in half of the cool whip until combined.
Gently stir in one cup of the fresh blueberries and 1 cup of chopped strawberries.
Pour the mixture into your prepared crust and freeze for several hours until firm.
Remove the pie from the freezer and spread the remaining cool whip on top. Arrange the remaining fresh berries on top. Add some shaved chocolate on top for garnish.
Place the pie in the fridge until ready to serve.
If desired, drizzle with some hot fudge, slice, and serve.
Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 8- oz block of cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 6- oz cup of vanilla yogurt
- 1 8oz tub of Cool Whip
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1.5 cups fresh strawberries
- 1.5 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 graham cracker pie crust
- hot fudge sauce for topping {optional but soooo good!}
- dark chocolate bar for shavings on top
Instructions
- Blend the softened cream cheese and sugar together until well incorporated.
- Add in yogurt and vanilla, mixing well. Fold in about 1/2 a tub of Cool Whip.
- Gently stir in 1 cup blueberries and 1 cup chopped strawberries.
- Pour mixture into graham cracker pie crust and freeze for several hours, until firm.
- Remove from freezer. Spread remaining Cool Whip on top and then arrange another cup of fresh berries on top of the Cool Whip. I opted to shave a 1 oz square of dark chocolate on top of the pie. That little bit of added chocolate was heaven!
- Refrigerate until serving. Serve with a drizzle of hot fudge on top, if desired!
- After freezing, I had my pie sitting out on the counter top for an hour, then refrigerated for another 2 hours prior to serving.

How long is berries and cream pie good for?
This pie can be kept stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. I don’t recommend storing it longer than that because the crust gets soggy in the fridge or the pie loses flavor and gets ice crystals in the freezer. This pie is best when served within 48 hours of being made.
Can I use homemade whipped cream instead of cool whip?
Absolutely! To use homemade whipped cream you will need 1.5 cups of heavy whipping cream + 2 tablespoons of sugar + 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Beat until stiff peaks form and you should have about 3 cups of finished product which is about what you get from an 8 ounce tub. Use as directed.
