Velveeta and Sausage Dip Ingredients
-Olive oil: You will need 2 tablespoons of olive oil or any vegetable oil of choice, this is used for cooking the sausage.
-Sausage: Use 1 pound of ground pork sausage for a tasty dip. If you are not a fan or pork, your preferred sausage choice will also work great.

How to make Velveeta Sausage Queso Dip
In a medium size pan, over medium heat, pour in the olive oil.
Then, crumble your selected sausage into the pan and add in all the seasonings (taco seasoning, garlic powder, and celery seeds). Continue to brown the sausage until it is fully cooked and no longer pink. This typically takes about 5-6 minutes.
While the meat is cooking, prepare the Velveeta cheese by cutting into small cubes. This will hep the cheese melt evenly and easier.
Once the sausage is fully cooked, pour in the Rotel tomatoes, juices, and all. Give it a good stir to combine.
Next, add in the cubed Velveeta cheese.
Continue to stir until all of the cheese has melted, this should take about 8-9 minutes or so. I melt my cheese over medium heat so that it is has a nice smooth texture. Continue to stir to coat all of the sausage in the melted cheese.
Once all of the Velveeta has melted, stir in the mozzarella cheese until melted.
Serve warm with tortilla chips and enjoy!

How long is Velveeta cheese dip with sausage good for?
This dip can last up to about 3 days in the fridge if kept properly stored in an airtight or well-covered container. You can eat it cold from the fridge or reheat it for about a minute in the microwave (just stir well before serving).
What to serve with Velveeta cheese and sausage dip?
This dip is good with any of your favorite corn chips. I love to eat it with Tostitos or South of the border chips but any similar chip variety should be just as good. Even serving this dip up with some toasted pita chips or freshly sliced bell peppers would be a tasty combination.
What do I do if my cheese dip is too thick?
If your queso dip has turned out slightly too thick and you need to thin it out, start by adding ¼ cup of milk while heating it. Slowly add the milk and stir, add a small amount at a time so you do not thin it out too much. Milk also helps slow the hardening process down as the cheese dip cools so this is a win win situation.
