How to make easy Krispie Fondue Bites
Prep
Start by cutting each of the Rice Krispie Treats into 6 squares, set them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Next, place the M&M’s in a sealed plastic bag and crush with a mallet. Then transfer all of the crushed M&M pieces onto a small plate, set aside.
Melt chocolate
In a medium saucepan, melt together the chocolate chips and heavy cream, over medium-low heat. Be sure to stir frequently to avoid scorching the ingredients. Continue to stir until smooth and then add the marshmallows, keep stirring until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. Then stir in the vanilla extract and remove from the heat.
Fondue
Once the chocolate is melted, proceed to dip each small square of Rice Krispie Treat into the fondue mixture, coating the top half of each square. Then immediately dip the chocolate side onto the crushed M&Ms until well coated. Repeat with all remaining Rice Krispie Treats pieces. Place each piece back on the parchment paper.
Let the krispie treats cool for 2-3 minutes, then serve and enjoy!

HOW LONG ARE NO BAKE S’MORES BARS GOOD FOR?
These tasty little treats can last about a week or so in an airtight container a room temperature. That said I doubt they will even last that long, they are that good.
HOW DO YOU KEEP RICE KRISPIE TREATS SOFT?
Here are several ways to keep rice krispie treats soft. They’re simple, but effective!
- Do not use stale marshmallows. Seriously. Rice Krispie Treats are not the treat to use up those old, hard marshmallows! Recently purchased marshmallows work best.
- Do not overcook. You want to heat the marshmallows until they’re soft and beginning to lose shape. I find it’s easiest to not overcook marshmallows if I heat them in the microwave. Mine take just over 1 minute to be ready- that’s it!
- Don’t forget the butter. The marshmallow-butter combination helps keep the treats soft and chewy, so don’t leave it out or reduce the measurement.
- Don’t chill in the refrigerator. Even if you want them to set quickly, I find this just dries the marshmallow treats out more quickly.
- Store in an airtight container on the counter top.
