-Green onion: Adding in ¾ cups of chopped green onion really helps to make this recipe delicious and adds nice color to the dip.
-Meats: Use ½ cup each of diced pepperoni and diced salami.
-Seasoning: Use one teaspoon of Italian seasoning to help flavor this appetizer well.
-Walnuts: You will need about 1/2 cup crushed walnuts to press onto the outside of this cheeseball after shaping.

How long are homemade cheeseballs good for?
A homemade cheese ball, if kept well covered in an airtight container in the fridge, can last up to 2 weeks, giving you plenty of time to enjoy leftovers or a chance to make it in advance of a big party and not rushing to throw it together at the last minute.
Can I freeze a reindeer cheese ball?
Yes, you can freeze the cheese ball but make sure to take precautions first. For example, the garnished antlers, eyes, and nose should not be placed in the freezer.
