Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is made with just 4 ingredients: vanilla yogurt, pudding mix, whipped topping, and raspberries. It’s a creamy, refreshing treat that’s perfect for potlucks, holidays, or a simple sweet side dish!

What is the best fruit to put in Jello Fruit Salad?
My family loves raspberries best in this recipe, but I’ve also made it with mixed berries, blackberries, blueberries, and even peaches (which inspired this version of the salad). I usually use frozen fruit since I keep it on hand, but fresh works just as well.
You can also mix a few fruits together—raspberries and peaches are especially delicious—and I’ve even added bananas right before serving for extra flavor.

Recipe Highlights
- Just 4 Simple Ingredients – Made with vanilla yogurt, pudding mix, whipped topping, and raspberries, this recipe comes together fast with minimal effort.
- Sweet, Creamy & Refreshing – The mix of tart raspberries with smooth vanilla cream makes every bite light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced.
- Easy to Customize – Works with frozen or fresh fruit and can be switched up with berries, peaches, or bananas depending on what you have on hand.

Ingredients in Raspberry Jello Fruit Salad
Instant vanilla pudding mix – Thickens the salad and adds a smooth vanilla flavor that ties everything together.
Vanilla yogurt – Adds creaminess and a slight tang that balances the sweetness.
Cool Whip (whipped topping) – Makes the texture light, fluffy, and airy.
Frozen raspberries – Bring a sweet-tart burst of fruit flavor and juicy texture in every bite.

How long is this Raspberry Jello Fluff good for?
This Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is best enjoyed within 2–3 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. After that, the texture can start to loosen as the fruit releases moisture and the whipped topping breaks down slightly.
Freezing isn’t recommended, since thawing causes the mixture to become watery and lose its fluffy, creamy texture.

Easy Raspberry Jello Salad Recipe
Ingredients
- 5.1 oz box instant vanilla pudding
- 32 oz container vanilla yogurt
- 8 oz container Cool Whip thawed
- 12 oz package frozen raspberries
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the pudding mix and the vanilla yogurt, stirring until well mixed.
- Fold Cool Whip into the mixture. (You can use a spatula or a whisk!)
- Lastly, fold in the raspberries. I had set mine out for about 10 minutes before making the salad, but you can put them in frozen and they will thaw very quickly so you can serve the salad right after mixing. If you don’t serve the salad immediately, the raspberries will thaw more and the juices will add a raspberry flavor to the entire mixture – I like it both ways!

Can you replace the cool whip in fruit Jello salad?
If you can’t find Cool Whip where you live or you prefer not to use it in recipes, you can use stabilized whipped cream instead. If you just use regular whipped cream, the consistency will be too light and the cream will not hold up very well when mixed into the jello salad. It’s very simple to make your own stabilized whipped cream and it just takes a few minutes!
How do you make stabilized whipped cream?
To make stabilized whipped cream, you will need the following ingredients:
- 4 ounces of cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream.
- Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla until soft and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the whipping cream just until soft peaks form.
- Add the cream cheese mixture to the whipped cream and beat until stiff peaks are formed. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
A little tip for making whipped cream faster. Use a metal bowl for whipping the cream and place the bowl in the freezer for about 30 minutes before you make the whipped cream. This will significantly decrease the amount of time that you will need to beat the whipped cream – the process will go much faster!

Can I use fresh fruit instead of frozen?
Yes, fresh fruit works just as well, though frozen raspberries are often used for convenience and consistent texture.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Absolutely—this salad actually tastes better after chilling for a few hours so the flavors can blend together.
Can I use a different flavor of pudding mix?
Yes, vanilla is classic, but white chocolate or cheesecake pudding can also work for a slightly different flavor twist.

Why is my salad runny?
This usually happens if the fruit is very juicy or the mixture hasn’t chilled long enough to set up properly.

I made this and love it! Thanks for the recipe!
Jessica says
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Sierra says
Could I make the instant pudding before adding the yogurt to make it go further or would that ruin the flavor/consistency?
Jessica says
It would likely very drastically change both the flavor and the consistency. If you want to have the recipe serve more, I suggest doubling it.
Christina says
Very fast & easy to make. Very good & tasty. Make it for x-mas. They all love it. Thanks
Jessica says
So glad to hear everyone liked it!
Joanna says
How many do you think this would feed? I’m having a dinner party with 6 adults and 9 children. Would doubling it be enough?
Jessica says
Depending on how many other dishes you have, I think you might not even need to double it! But yes, to be safe, I think doubling it will be plenty.
Cindy says
Can this be made several hours ahead of serving it?
Jessica says
It sure can!!
Kathy says
that’s not jello. it’s pudding.
Beth says
I found this recipe when I searched dessert in a mold. Do you believe this has the consistency to be molded? Maybe if I froze for a short time? Thoughts please
Nellie says
I think the consistency of this is too soft to work in a mold. I have never tried to freeze it, so that might work, but I think it would have to be pretty frozen to hold any kind of shape. Let me know if you try it!
Susan says
I’d like to know the size bag of raspberries, also. Anxious to try it, though, so I may have to punt!
Nellie says
The bag I used is 12 oz. Enjoy!
Betty says
Do you make the instant pudding first or add the box without preparing pudding? Not clear in directions
Nellie says
You don’t have to make the pudding first- just add the pudding mix with the rest of the ingredients. Enjoy!
Karisa says
Yum! I think some vanilla wafers would be yummy in this too!
Jessica says
Great idea!
Barb says
This is absolutely delicious exactly as written! Thank you!
Jessica says
So glad you liked it Barb!
Jane says
Can u make it ahead and serve the next day? Is it still good.
Nellie says
Absolutely! In fact, I almost like it better the next day because the raspberry flavor gets a little more intense and mixes in more with the yogurt/pudding mixture. It should last at least 2-3 days in the fridge and still taste wonderful!
Jane says
Thank you. Sounds so delicious.

4 ingredients and 2 minutes!! This recipe is right up my alley! I love how pink it is too – it would be perfect for a girl baby shower.

Jello salad is my favorite! I love the addition of pudding in this one too!
Brenna says
My boyfriend’s mom made this at Thanksgiving, and I LOVED it! I call it ‘Jello, not Jello’ since there’s no jello in it. Gives it a fun name.
I think blueberries in it would also be fantastic.
I plan to make this for my Christmas work pot luck. It looks very festive too.
Jessica says
Yeah, it’s more Jello Pudding salad, but that title was super long, ha! I’m so glad you liked it! Yes, variations are a great idea!
Margo says
Question , How can I substitute the regular Jell-O for sugar free jello oz or box wise?
Nellie says
I have never tried this with sugar free pudding, but it should work just fine if you use the larger box (2.1 oz).
Samantha Dawn says
Such an easy and quick dish that’s tasty!
