Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is made with just 4 ingredients: vanilla yogurt, pudding mix, whipped topping, and raspberries. It’s a creamy, refreshing treat that’s perfect for potlucks, holidays, or a simple sweet side dish!

What is the best fruit to put in Jello Fruit Salad?
My family loves raspberries best in this recipe, but I’ve also made it with mixed berries, blackberries, blueberries, and even peaches (which inspired this version of the salad). I usually use frozen fruit since I keep it on hand, but fresh works just as well.
You can also mix a few fruits together—raspberries and peaches are especially delicious—and I’ve even added bananas right before serving for extra flavor.

Recipe Highlights
- Just 4 Simple Ingredients – Made with vanilla yogurt, pudding mix, whipped topping, and raspberries, this recipe comes together fast with minimal effort.
- Sweet, Creamy & Refreshing – The mix of tart raspberries with smooth vanilla cream makes every bite light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced.
- Easy to Customize – Works with frozen or fresh fruit and can be switched up with berries, peaches, or bananas depending on what you have on hand.

Ingredients in Raspberry Jello Fruit Salad
Instant vanilla pudding mix – Thickens the salad and adds a smooth vanilla flavor that ties everything together.
Vanilla yogurt – Adds creaminess and a slight tang that balances the sweetness.
Cool Whip (whipped topping) – Makes the texture light, fluffy, and airy.
Frozen raspberries – Bring a sweet-tart burst of fruit flavor and juicy texture in every bite.

How long is this Raspberry Jello Fluff good for?
This Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is best enjoyed within 2–3 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. After that, the texture can start to loosen as the fruit releases moisture and the whipped topping breaks down slightly.
Freezing isn’t recommended, since thawing causes the mixture to become watery and lose its fluffy, creamy texture.

Easy Raspberry Jello Salad Recipe
Ingredients
- 5.1 oz box instant vanilla pudding
- 32 oz container vanilla yogurt
- 8 oz container Cool Whip thawed
- 12 oz package frozen raspberries
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the pudding mix and the vanilla yogurt, stirring until well mixed.
- Fold Cool Whip into the mixture. (You can use a spatula or a whisk!)
- Lastly, fold in the raspberries. I had set mine out for about 10 minutes before making the salad, but you can put them in frozen and they will thaw very quickly so you can serve the salad right after mixing. If you don’t serve the salad immediately, the raspberries will thaw more and the juices will add a raspberry flavor to the entire mixture – I like it both ways!

Can you replace the cool whip in fruit Jello salad?
If you can’t find Cool Whip where you live or you prefer not to use it in recipes, you can use stabilized whipped cream instead. If you just use regular whipped cream, the consistency will be too light and the cream will not hold up very well when mixed into the jello salad. It’s very simple to make your own stabilized whipped cream and it just takes a few minutes!
How do you make stabilized whipped cream?
To make stabilized whipped cream, you will need the following ingredients:
- 4 ounces of cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream.
- Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla until soft and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the whipping cream just until soft peaks form.
- Add the cream cheese mixture to the whipped cream and beat until stiff peaks are formed. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
A little tip for making whipped cream faster. Use a metal bowl for whipping the cream and place the bowl in the freezer for about 30 minutes before you make the whipped cream. This will significantly decrease the amount of time that you will need to beat the whipped cream – the process will go much faster!

Can I use fresh fruit instead of frozen?
Yes, fresh fruit works just as well, though frozen raspberries are often used for convenience and consistent texture.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Absolutely—this salad actually tastes better after chilling for a few hours so the flavors can blend together.
Can I use a different flavor of pudding mix?
Yes, vanilla is classic, but white chocolate or cheesecake pudding can also work for a slightly different flavor twist.

Why is my salad runny?
This usually happens if the fruit is very juicy or the mixture hasn’t chilled long enough to set up properly.

We made this and it was delicious! I used lite cool whip and lowfat yogurt. It makes a good size amount, would be great to bring to a potluck. This is better I think after it sits and the berries thaw out.

Where's the jello?
Nellie says
There isn't regular Jello (gelatin), but a lot of "Jello" recipes are ones that include pudding, probably since Jello is the brand that makes most instant pudding mixes?

I'm not a big fan of raspberries, but this looks delicious! Would strawberries (or any berries for that matter) work just as well?
okiemomofthree says
I'm sure any berries would be good. We don't have fresh raspberries around here, so I'll probably try it with strawberries.

I have a recipe that uses cheesecake flavored pudding and also mixed berries instead of just raspberries…<br /> You can also use flavored jello instead of the pudding & makes in whatever fruit matches your flavor jello (ie: orange jello / mandarin oranges)…

Ooooh this is so good. I think I'd like to try raspberries with Lemon pudding and lemon yogurt, bet that would be wonderful too! Can't wait to try it with flavored jello as Dana suggested. Yummm! I'm taking it on a camping trip next week for sure!
