Easter Golden Oreo Truffles are made with crushed Golden Oreos, cream cheese, and pastel-colored candy melts. These bite-sized no-bake treats are easy to make, fun to decorate, and delicious to eat!

We love Oreo Balls and have created many different variations over the years. They are easy to make and perfect for parties and special occasions. Using Golden Oreos provides a lighter flavor that is perfect for spring!

Why You’ll Love Easter Golden Oreo Truffles
- No baking involved. The truffles are made by mixing Golden Oreo crumbs with cream cheese. The mixture is scooped into balls and chilled before dipping in a candy coating. Kids love helping to make these!
- Versatile. The recipe calls for Golden Oreos, but you can make the truffles with any type of Oreo you love the most. Lemon Oreos are perfect for this recipe! Pastel-colored candy melts are wonderful for Easter, but you can use other colors to fit other holidays or special occasions.

Ingredients in Easter Golden Oreo Truffles
Oreo cookies: You will need one (13-14 oz) package of Golden Oreo cookies. If you prefer a different variety of Oreos, that’s great! Crush the Oreos in a food processor or blender. Make sure the leave the filling in the cookies before crushing.
Cream cheese: Eight ounces of cream cheese will bind the Oreo crumbs together. Make sure that the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before combining with the crumbs.
Candy melts – You will need four ounces each of yellow, blue, and pink candy melts. If you don’t have candy melts, you can use white chocolate chips or vanilla Candiquik and add food coloring to change the color if desired.
Sprinkles – Use any type of sprinkles that fit the occasion! Make sure to add them before the drizzle dries so that they will stick!

Tips for making Easter Golden Oreo Truffles
Full instructions on how to make these Oreo balls can be found below on the recipe card, but I wanted to give you these important tips!
- Make sure that the cream cheese is softened. Cold cream cheese will not blend very well with the crushed Oreos. The simplest way to do this is to set out the cream cheese about 30-60 minutes before using it. The quickest way to soften the cream cheese is in the microwave. Microwave for 15-20 seconds and then for another few seconds if needed.
- Chill the Oreo balls before dipping. Don’t skip this step! The balls will be much harder to dip if they have not been in the freezer for at least an hour before coating.
- Crush the Oreos in a food processor or blender. You can smash the Oreos with a meat mallet or rolling pin, but it’s much easier to get fine, uniform crumbs with a food processor or blender.

HOW TO STORE OREO TRUFFLES
Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. Freeze the truffles for up to 3 months.

Easter Golden Oreo Truffles Recipe
Ingredients
- 13-14 oz package Golden Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temp
- 4 oz yellow candy melts
- 4 oz blue candy melts
- 4 oz pink candy melts
- 3 tbsp pastel-colored sprinkles
Instructions
- MAKE THE OREO BALLS: Crush the Oreos finely in a blender or food processor and add them to a large bowl. Add the cream cheese and beat using a hand mixer until a dough consistency forms. Line a large baking sheet or tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out about a tablespoon of dough into a ball and place it on the parchment paper. Repeat until there is no more dough left. A cookie scoop makes this process easier! Place the balls of dough in the freezer for 1 hour.
- MELT THE CANDY MELTS: In three separate microwave-safe bowls add pink to one, blue to one, and yellow to one. Melt each one in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until melted and smooth. Make sure to mix with a clean utensil so you don’t mix colors.
- DIP AND DECORATE: Once everything is melted, take the Oreo balls from the freezer. Use two forks to dip the ball into whatever color you choose first. Lightly tap the fork on the side of the bowl to have the leftover candy fall back into the bowl. Set gently on parchment paper or wax paper. Repeat with all the balls alternating colors.
- Once all the Oreo truffles are dipped get three small zip lock bags out, pour the leftover melted candy melts into each one, snip a tiny piece of the corner off with scissors, and then drizzle pink over the yellow and blue dipped ones, or blue over the yellow and pink, etc. You can drizzle two colors on one as well.
- As soon as you drizzle the candy sprinkle the sprinkles right on top so they stick. Once done you can set it in the fridge for 5 minutes so the candy hardens faster. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Those look good. What kind of candy melts work well for you? I am new to dipping.

I’ve used multiple candy melts and have had success with all of them. Wilton Candy Melts are generally the easiest to find in most grocery and hobby stores.
