Pumpkin Fudge Truffles are delicious and easy to make in less than 20 minutes. A sweet no-bake pumpkin fudge recipe that is spiced with cinnamon and shaped into pumpkins, making it perfect for fall!
It’s no secret that we love pumpkin. We have made pumpkin fudge before, but this fudge recipe is the perfect consistency to shape into pumpkins, which is such a fun way to serve fudge! You only need 4 ingredients to make the fudge, and then once the pumpkins are formed, dip them in sugar and place a chocolate chip on top!
PUMPKIN FUDGE TRUFFLES
This simple fudge recipe is made with sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin, butter, and cinnamon. These ingredients are boiled on the stove until thickened. Once the mixture has been chilled for an hour, it can be shaped into pumpkins, dipped into sugar, and topped with a chocolate chip. The truffles can be served immediately or kept in the fridge until ready to serve.
Ingredients in Pumpkin Fudge Truffles
Sweetened condensed milk – The base of the pumpkin fudge is one fourteen-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk.
Pumpkin puree – Just 1/4 cup of pumpkin puree provides a rich pumpkin flavor to the candy.
Butter – You only need one tablespoon of butter to provide creaminess to the fudge.
Cinnamon – Don’t leave this out! Cinnamon goes so well with pumpkin! You can swap this out with pumpkin pie spice if you want to add some different spices to the recipe.
Sugar – You will need about 1/2 cup of sugar to roll the balls of fudge in before making lines and shaping into pumpkins.
Chocolate chips – Top each pumpkin off with a chocolate chip!
How to make Pumpkin Fudge Truffles
MAKE THE FUDGE
Add the sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin puree, butter, and cinnamon in a medium-sized saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. If you stop mixing while the mixture is cooking it will stick to the pan and won’t work.
The mixture will come to a low boil and then it needs to cook until it starts to get thick, about 5-7 more minutes. You should be able to run a silicone spoon on the bottom of the pan and the mixture will separate and then come back together after a few seconds. If you want to use a candy thermometer, the temperature should be between 234° and 237°. Once it starts taking about 5-8 seconds to come together, turn off the heat and put the mixture in a large bowl.
CHILL THE FUDGE
Let it cool for 10-15 minutes and then place it in the fridge for 1 hour.
SHAPE THE FUDGE
Pour the sugar into a small bowl and set aside. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Grease up your hands with a little bit of butter or non-stick cooking spray. Grab about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Dip each ball in the sugar, roll until coated completely, and then place on the tray. If you use 2 tablespoons, the recipe makes 9 pumpkins. If you want to make smaller pumpkins, use half the amount and make 18.
Once all the balls are rolled and dipped into sugar, take the toothpick and use it to make lines all around the ball from the bottom to the top all the way around so that the ball looks like a pumpkin. Repeat with each ball of fudge. Lightly press your thumb into the top of each ball to make a slight indentation.
Place a chocolate chip on the top of each pumpkin and slightly push down just a tiny bit. Serve immediately or place in the refrigerator to serve later.

How long is fudge good for?
If stored in an airtight container on the countertop, fudge will stay good for about a week. It does slowly dry out, so I recommend enjoying it within 4-5 days.
Can you freeze fudge?
Yes! Freezing fudge is easy. Just double-wrap the fudge in plastic wrap or parchment paper, then store it in an airtight container. Will stay fresh for 3 months. Thaw and serve.
What type of candy thermometer to use while making fudge?
Using a candy thermometer is very helpful and usually necessary for making fudge or other candy recipes. I like to use a digital thermometer like this one. This type of thermometer is one of my go-to kitchen essentials. I use it for candy, bread, meat…it works for everything and because it’s digital, you don’t have to squint or guess if you are at the right temperature!
