What is chocolate peanut butter dip?
It’s a greek yogurt based dip packed with melted chocolate and peanut butter for a protein filled sweet dip for everything from apples to graham crackers. Using this peanut butter dip for graham crackers is a fun way to enjoy a sweet snack, but pretzel sticks can give a great salty/sweet experience!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Dip Ingredients
-Greek Yogurt: We need a 6 ounce container of vanilla flavored Greek Yogurt. Flavored could also be used, but will affect taste, so choose wisely.
-Chocolate Chips: We need 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you could use other chocolate varieties if desired.
-Peanut Butter: Adding 1/4 cup of creamy peanut butter helps to add flavor and texture to this dip.
-Food for Dipping: You can use anything that you think would taste great, including graham crackers, apple slices, pretzels, strawberries, bananas, or sliced pears. You could even eat it with a spoon if you wanted!
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Dip
In a small bowl in the microwave, heat your chocolate chips until melted. Do 30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. This should take about 1 min 30 seconds.
Stir in the peanut butter and let it sit for 10 minutes so that the chocolate can cool down.
Stir in the Greek yogurt and then serve as desired.
Ingredients
- 1-6 oz container Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Food for Dipping
- apple slices
- graham crackers
- pretzels
- strawberries
- banana
Instructions
- Pour the semi sweet chocolate chips in a small bowl and microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes or so, until melted and smooth. {I put mine in for 1 minute, stirred gently, then added 30 seconds and it was perfect.}
- Gently stir in peanut butter. Let sit for about 10 minutes, so that it has a chance to cool off. (Or not! If you don’t let it sit, your dip will just be a little less thick. The texture is still fantastic though.)
- Stir in the yogurt and serve.
- Enjoy with apple slices, strawberries, pear slices, banana, pretzels, graham crackers- or anything else you’d like to dip!
How long is this peanut butter dip good for?
If covered and placed in the fridge this dip should be good for up to a week! That should give you plenty of time to enjoy it if you want to savor it, but don’t be afraid if you can’t stop eating- it’s pretty addicting!
When is National Peanut Butter Day?
National Peanut Butter Day is January 24th, making this the perfect dip for eating on that specific day. It gives you a fun way to enjoy the little holiday, even if you can’t take off of work to celebrate. Just make sure to pack a little container for lunch.

Amazingly easy recipe. But I’d recommend using milk chocolate instead of semi sweet. I got a bitter taste when I made mine so I ended up having to use extra peanut butter and adding some powdered sugar to cover up the taste. But overall it’s an amazing recipe. Thank you!

The instructions worked well. She recommended to put it in for 1 minute first and then mix it and put it in for another 30 seconds and it would be perfectly done.I tried that and it worked perfectly. It was tasty and the star of the party.I had it with pretzels and that was the best!I really recommend this recipe.
