We love donuts! Baked ones don’t taste quite the same as fried ones, but they are delicious! This simple donut recipe is perfect for breakfast, an after-school snack, or a yummy dessert.
BAKED STRAWBERRY DONUTS
Baked donuts are made with flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, egg, milk, oil, and vanilla. Add some chopped fresh strawberries before baking the batter in a donut pan. Once the donuts are baked and cooled, dip them in a simple glaze made of strawberry jam, vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk.

Ingredients in Baked Strawberry Donuts
Flour – All-purpose flour works best. A gluten-free flour can be swapped in if needed.
Baking powder and baking soda – These act as the leavening agents in the recipe, so make sure they aren’t old or expired for optimal results.
Salt – Just a little bit of salt helps to bring out all of the other delicious flavors in the donuts.
Eggs – One egg will help bind everything together.

Vanilla – Again, the higher the quality of the vanilla, the better.
Powdered sugar – This adds sweetness to the glaze but allows it to be completely smooth as well.
Milk – Any type of milk works. Use dairy-free if needed.
How to make Baked Strawberry Donuts
Preheat oven to 400°. Grease a donut pan well and set aside.
MAKE THE DONUT BATTER
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla and mix until well combined. Add the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
Fold in the chopped strawberries.
BAKE THE DONUTS
Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan. Each donut well should be about ¾ full.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool for 10-15 minutes before transferring the donuts to a wire rack.
MAKE THE GLAZE
Combine the jam, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a small bowl. Slowly add the milk, whisking the glaze until it reaches the desired consistency. Dip the top of each donut in the glaze and return the donuts to the wire rack. Let the glaze set up for about 30 minutes before serving.
