Ingredients in Lucky Charms Fudge
White chocolate chips – Use white chocolate chips to form the bottom layer of the fudge.
Vanilla frosting – Adding a container of vanilla frosting to the melted white chocolate gives the fudge the perfect consistency.
Candy melts – To make the fudge look like a rainbow, you will need blue, pink, and green candy melts. You can swap out any colors that you’d like. Red and green work great for Christmas, pink and red work perfectly for Valentine’s day, etc.
Lucky Charms marshmallows – You can use Lucky Charms cereal as is, you can pick out the marshmallows from the box of cereal, or you can just buy the marshmallows to make it even easier.

How to make Lucky Charms Fudge
The recipe instructions can be found on the recipe card below, but here are a few tips to help you make Lucky Charms Fudge.

The easiest way to melt chocolate is in the microwave, but you do have to be careful not to overheat the chocolate because it will seize and then it won’t work. Microwave the candy melts or chocolate in 15-second intervals, stirring in between each interval. Sometimes the chocolate won’t look melted, but will melt as you stir.

Lining the pan with parchment paper makes it so much easier to remove the fudge and to cut it.

Use a knife to swirl the colors together. Don’t overswirl or you won’t get that pretty tie-dye effect. Make sure to sprinkle the marshmallows right away so they can stick before the fudge sets up.

The fudge will need to set up for at least an hour. At this point, it should be easy to slice into small squares. Use a sharp knife to easily cut the fudge into precise squares.

How to store Lucky Charms Fudge
This fudge can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. I prefer eating the fudge at room temperature so I set the fudge out for about 15-20 minutes before serving.
CAN YOU FREEZE FUDGE?
Yes, after the candy has completely set, you can safely freeze it in an airtight container for up to 3 months. I like to cut the fudge into squares and then wrap each one in plastic wrap before putting them all in a container or ziplock bag. This way, the fudge doesn’t stick together and it’s easy to grab one piece out at a time…any time you need a sweet treat. Each piece only takes a few minutes at room temperature to thaw out. Although the fudge is pretty yummy frozen too. NOTE: The Lucky Charms marshmallows don’t freeze/rethaw very well, so if you plan to freeze the fudge, I would leave those off!

Lucky Charms Fudge Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 16 oz container of vanilla frosting
- 4 ½ cups candy melts 1 ½ cups each of pink, green, and blue
- ½ cup Lucky Charm marshmallows
Instructions
- Add the white chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl. Add the pink, green, and blue candy melts to their own microwave-safe bowls as well. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each interval until everything is melted and smooth. Make sure to use different spoons to stir the colors while melting so that you don’t mix the colors!
- Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper and make sure the edges of the paper are hanging over the edges. Add the vanilla frosting to the melted white chocolate and stir. Microwave for 15 seconds and then stir again.
- Pour the white chocolate into the baking dish. Scoop and add drops of the melted pink candy melts all over. Repeat with the green and blue. Take a butter knife and swirl the colors all around. Sprinkle the marshmallows all over the top.
- Place the fudge in the fridge for 1 hour. Once hardened, take a knife and slice into 16 squares. Serve and enjoy!
