Christmas Candy Puffcorn made easy in minutes with almond bark coating buttery puffcorn & topped with festive holiday candies and sprinkles!
Christmas Candy Puffcorn is a salty-sweet holiday snacking dessert that people can’t get enough of! If you’ve never tried it, you’re in for a treat. Puffcorn is a light and crispy, butter flavored puffed corn that doesn’t have kernels or hulls, so it’s easy to eat. Add the melted white almond bark and oh my word, prepare to eat the whole bowl! I topped mine with a variety of Christmas candies and sprinkles to make it perfectly festive for the holiday season. Have I mentioned too that this dessert literally comes together in minutes?! You can’t get much easier than this!
Puffcorn can be found on the chip aisle of your grocery store this time of year. I find I have better luck shopping at smaller grocery stores when looking for puffcorn, although I have seen it at our local Kroger store. The brand I found was Chesters and I used the Butter flavored. (of course!)

Tons of great comments on this. Just got another request for a batch to celebrate their birthday in my office. I don’t use the sprinkles and match the M&Ms to the season. It’s so easy to make, my 2 year-old granddaughter can help make it.
Jessica says
I’m so glad to hear this Debbie! You’ve inspired me- I think I’ll make a birthday version!

With a 6 oz bag of puffed corn, how much almond bark?
Jessica says
I would use two 12-oz packages of almond bark for your 6-oz bag of puffcorn. 🙂

I made this recipe, Thanksgiving style! Candy corn insread of m&m’s and a drizzle of milk chocolate. Delish!

Not a lot of ingredients. My kind of recipe. It looks yummy!!
Stephanie says
Can you use regular microwaved popcorn?
Jessica says
Sure Stephanie!
Terrie King says
can i use white chocolate chips instead of almond bark ?
Nellie says
Terrie – Yes, you just want to be extra careful when melting since white chocolate chips will seize more easily than almond bark!
Corrine says
Has anyone tried using white cheddar puff corn in this recipe?
Lisa Hammitt says
Absolutely delicious and so easy to make!
Alison says
Thanks so much Lisa!
Rosemary says
I don’t have almond bark and I don’t know where to buy it, do you have any ingredients to replace it?
Nellie says
You can use any type of melting chocolate. You could use white chocolate chips with a little bit of shortening (1/2 Tbsp) mixed in to thin it out.
Josee says
What is almond bark ? Where can I buy this?
Jessica says
It’s on the baking aisle of just about every grocery store- by the chocolate chips. Most come in a plastic package with large squares that you melt. : )
Kathleen C Vander Roest says
Super easy. Perfect ratio of almond bark to coat one bag of puffs. Can customize it easily for other seasons or change taste for Christmas with crushed candy canes. Perfect for those who like a mix of salty and sweet.. Is there a way to post a photo? I used red and white sprinkles, white snowflake sprinkles and Christmas candy corn. Don’t forget all the possibilities with a variety of extracts/oils.
Jessica says
Right?1 So glad you liked it!

How long will Candy Puffcorn stay fresh? I want to make it ahead of time, but don’t want it to go stale. Thank you
Jessica says
It says fresh for a good 4-5 days!
Moe says
