This decadent chocolate mousse has only two ingredients and can be ready to eat in less than 3 minutes!

Easy Chocolate Mousse - Butter With a Side of Bread

I have tried several different recipes for chocolate mousse and most of them are fairly complicated. I found this recipe in an old cookbook and was a little bit skeptical because it seemed too simple to be good! After making this and realizing how yummy it is, I felt silly for not thinking of this idea years ago! I have a feeling I will be making this quite often at my house –  there aren’t many desserts that can be ready to eat in less than 3 minutes!

EASY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Place ingredients in a bowl and mix with an electric mixer until thick and smooth. Serve immediately or keep in the refrigerator until ready to eat. That’s it! Enjoy!

(The mixture will thicken so much faster if you use a metal bowl and place it in the freezer for about 20 minutes prior to whipping the cream.)

  1. Jessica, This Is Totally Awesome. Another simple way to make chocolate mousse, also quite delicious is is chocolate instant pudding and heavy cream!
