Easy Ranch Pretzels made with just a few ingredients and so insanely delicious, everyone asks for this recipe! Simple appetizer to make and perfect for game day, a party or any get-together!
I first made these pretzels for my kids and their friends and it was almost comical how quickly they devoured them. Not long after I had several moms contact me, asking for “that pretzel recipe.” Ha! Word spreads quickly when I find a tasty little snack recipe! So add a bag of pretzels to the grocery list and enjoy!
What are Seasoned Ranch Pretzels?
Ranch Pretzels are a fun variation on your basic bag of store-bought pretzels. We took oil or melted butter, then added ranch dressing mix and a little garlic powder. We then coated the pretzels in the seasoning mixture and baked them in a warm oven. The results are amazing! Buttery, flavorful pretzels that taste so good you won’t be able to stop eating them!
How to make Ranch Pretzels
Making these Ranch Pretzels is so easy! First you’ll want to preheat your oven to 200 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Pour pretzels in a large mixing bowl. In 1 cup measuring cup measure out the melted butter or oil, then add the ranch dressing mix and garlic powder. Remember, you’re just using the Ranch dressing mix- it’s a powder- not actual Ranch dressing. Whisk together and pour over pretzels. Stir gently until pretzels are coated.
Pour out onto prepared baking sheet. Spread the pretzels over the surface of the cookie sheet. They’ll overlap and that’s okay!
Bake in 200 degree F oven for 1 hour, reaching in the oven and stirring gently in 20 minute intervals. Remove from oven and let cool. Serve and enjoy!
What types of pretzels to use for Seasoned Ranch Pretzel recipe
To make these Ranch Pretzels, I like to use with Butter Snap pretzels or the regular mini pretzels. They are both easy to find in the grocery store and the ranch seasoning sticks to all of the sides, so they get a good coating. You can use pretzels sticks if you’d like as well!

Can you make Ranch Pretzels ahead of time?
Yes, you can certainly make Ranch Pretzels a day or two ahead of when you plan to serve them! They do require an hour to bake, but they cool quickly and can be kept on the counter top in an airtight container until you’re ready to serve them.
Are Ranch Pretzels Gluten Free?
Regular pretzels are not gluten- free but you can most certainly use gluten free pretzels for this recipe! Keep an eye out for this specific variety at your grocery store. I know Snyders brand makes gluten free pretzels!

I I was just wondering if vegetable oiul would work as olive oil is so expensive.
Jessica says
Of course! If I don’t use olive oil, I like using Canola oil!

Who makes these Pretzels? I can’t find them where I live.
Thanks
Jessica says
Snyders of Hanover is the brand. But you can use any type of pretzels!

I made according to directions; however, using 2 ounce of the dry ranch dressing with the butter made it very thick. No pour to it. Threw it out. Next I used 1 ounce packet and canola oil. At least I could pour it. Did I do something wrong? In oven now. Are your ingredients list incorrectly.
Jessica says
Did you use the 1/2 cup of butter or olive oil? I’ve tested this recipe many times and the measurements are correct. Sounds like you accidentally used less oil.
April R Dewinter says
Mine did that as well, but i assumed that was how it was supposed to be. My pretzels all stuck together and burned.
Jessica says
Did you gently stir them while baking? Is your oven rack in the middle?
Mary Schneider says
I too had to throw out the first batch. It was like paste. 6 tbls was way too much seasoning. 2 ounces of dry seasoning equals 4 tablespoons.
Janet T says
We followed the amounts exactly. Ranch mix would not blend, no pouring, just glumps. Perhaps this recipe only works if you make the ranch mix? Not use a packet of ranch mix. Or only with specific brands of ranch mix?? hoping this doesn’t turn into a burnt mess like someone mentioned here. Not hopefull.
Kathy says
Do you use salted Pretzels
Jessica says
I do!
