We’ve been getting ready for school this week- we start on Monday! Happy dance for Mom! My kids are mourning the loss of warm days, swimming and sleeping in, but I’d say for the most part they’re excited about school. Part of our prepping has included getting our Box Tops ready!
Box Tops for Education is a fantastic loyalty rewards program where anyone can collect Box Tops and turn them into their local schools, who are able to redeem them for cash! Box Tops are located by the UPC symbol of most General Mills products- stuff like Cheerios, Pillsbury Rolls and Yoplait yogurt offer Box Tops. Schools earn .10 per Box Top and let me tell you, those dimes add up fast! Right now Walmart is even offering a ton of items that have bonus Box Tops– small certificates worth 4 box tops that you turn in along with your regular box tops that earn schools even more cash. That means these bonus box top products offer 5 box tops each!
Our local elementary school is offering each student a prize if they bring in at least 20 box tops on the first day of school. Nothing motivates my kids more than the opportunity to win something! I’m just happy to support the school. We’ve always collected box tops so my kids went and got our little baggie we put them all in, arranged their scissors and glue in a comfortable spot and got to work.
I created this cute Box Top Collection Sheet to share with you all! I think using a collection sheet makes the process so much easier for the school as they don’t have to do the trimming and pasting. My kids love the little craft project too.

Between the bonus box tops and regular box tops we’ve collected just this summer alone, my kids are taking over 150 box tops to school next week. That’s an extra $15 in our school’s pocket- just from our family alone from purchasing products we love!
