Ingredients

  • 10 slices Bread diced into cubes
  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Whipping cream
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • ¾ cup Butter
  • 1⅓ cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Flour

Instructions

  • Start by greasing a 13x9 pan really well, with either butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • Next, cut the loaf of bread into cubes and place them into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Then, in a large bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, whipping cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Proceed to pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes.
  • Cover this dish with saran wrap or foil and refrigerate overnight or for 5-6 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Then, in a microwave safe bowl place the butter, brown sugar and flour into the microwave and heat for 30-45 second intervals, stirring between each one, until mixture is completely melted.
  • Pour the melted butter mixture over the egg soaked bread and coat evenly over the entire pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, uncovered, for 45-60 minutes, longer depending on how crisp you like it. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before cutting. Serve and enjoy!
