  • 1 pre-made pie crust refrigerated
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • oil for frying

  • Mix the cinnamon and sugar together.
  • Take 1 tbsp of the cinnamon and sugar and mis it together with the unsweetened applesauce.
  • Spread the apple sauce onto half of the pie crust leaving 1/4 inch rim around the edge of the pie crust without any apple sauce.
  • Fold the pie crust over and pinch to seal the edge.
  • Use a pizza cutter and cut the pie crust into strips, creating the apple pie fries. For the longer strips, you'll want to cut those in half.
  • Heat 1/2 inch oil in a skillet. Once the oil is hot, fry the Apple Pie Fries in batches for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the Fries from the oil and place on a paper towel lined plate.
  • Shake the finished fries in the remaining cinnamon and sugar.
  • Serve warm.
