- 1 onion chopped
- 1 lb lean hamburger
- 15 oz can of corn with liquid
- 30 oz tomato sauce (2) 15-oz cans
- ½ cup water 1/2-1 cup depending on how thick you want it
- 30 oz beans (kidney, chili, black, or other) (2-3) 15-oz cans
- ¾ package taco seasoning added to taste
To get started, dice the onion into small pieces. Also, this recipe goes a bit fast so if you gather all your ingredients, it will go much smoother.
In a large saucepan, combine the ground beef and diced onion. Sauté the mixture until the onions are softened and the ground beef is no longer pink. Break up the meat as you go.
Add in the canned corn (not drained), tomato sauce, water, beans, and taco seasoning. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
Ladle into single serving bowls and serve. Enjoy!
Taco soup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
