CRANBERRY APPLE COBBLER

Ingredients

  • 16 oz can whole cranberry sauce
  • cup brown sugar
  • 3 TBSP all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 apples peeled, cored, sliced, and halved
  • ½ of an 18-oz pkg. refrigerated sugar cookie dough

Instructions

  • Prep: Get the oven preheated to 400° F. Prepare the apples by peeling them, remove the core, slice, and cut in half.
  • Filling: In a large bowl, mix and combine the cranberry sauce, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Add in the apples and stir until they are well coated with the cranberry mixture.
  • Then spread the cobbler filling in the bottom of a greased 9X13 pan. Then slice the cookie dough into ¼" slices and lay them evenly over the top of the filling.
  • Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve immediately while warm, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and enjoy!  

Notes

Cranberry apple cobbler can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days. It is best kept in an airtight container to maintain its freshness.
For longer storage, freezing is an option. The cobbler can be frozen for up to three months. Make sure to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil before placing it in the freezer.
