Ingredients

  • 11 oz bag of Kraft Caramels
  • 4 oz Bakers Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate

Optional toppings:

  • Sea Salt
  • White Chocolate Drizzles
  • Nuts
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prep: Unwrap all the caramels and set them aside so that they are ready to dip.
  • Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, place all the chocolate and melt it in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  • Dip: Using a toothpick or a wooden skewer, skewer a caramel and proceed to dip it into the melted chocolate. Gently tap the skewer against the side of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
  • Place the dipped caramel onto a cooling rack that is placed over a baking sheet to catch the excess drips of chocolate. (This is much easier to cleanup). Repeat until all the caramels are coated. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on your desired toppings.
  • Chill: Place all the caramels into the fridge to chill for at least 30 minutes to set and harden. When ready to serve, let the caramels sit for 5 minutes for the caramels to come to room temperature. Enjoy!

Notes

Chocolate coated caramels can last up to 2 weeks when stored in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.
