Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 12 tablespoons salted butter melted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pastel M&Ms plus additional for topping if desired
  • ½ cup small sprinkles plus additional for topping if desired

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F. Grease a 13x9 baking dish with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Add the butter, sugar, and brown sugar to a separate large mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer or stand mixer for at least 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in the vanilla and eggs and beat for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the flour mixture and mix just until combined.
  • Fold in the M&Ms and sprinkles.
  • Scoop the batter into the baking dish and spread it to the edges of the pan, pressing gently until the mixture is evenly spread in the pan. Add about a handful of additional M&Ms and sprinkles to the top of the blondies and bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven.
  • Allow the blondies to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into 12 equal squares. Or, if you are impatient like I am, scoop them out with a spoon and eat them warm, being careful not to burn your tongue! And add a scoop of vanilla ice cream! 😉
