Ingredients

  • 5 cups apples cored, peeled, & sliced.
  • ½ cup peanut butter creamy or chunky
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup butter cold

Instructions

  • Prep: Preheat oven to 375°F. Then core, peel, and slice the apples.
  • Proceed to place the apples in an 8 or 9" square baking dish that's been sprayed with nonstick spray. After that, dot the apples with the peanut butter.
  • Crisp coating: In a medium sized bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg. Whisk to combine.
  • Cut butter into small cubes and use a fork to mix into brown sugar mixture until mixture is in uniform crumbles. Sprinkle mixture over apples.
  • Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, until apples are tender and crisp is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or sweet cream. Enjoy!

Notes

Leftover apple crisp should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and will last 2-3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 10-15 minutes until warmed through, maintaining the crisp texture.
