Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pumpkin pie
  • 8-12 graham cracker squares
  • 1 cup chocolate melting wafers
  • 1 cup white melting wafers
  • ¼ cup candy eyes or enough for 2 eyes per turkey
  • 1 cup candy corn or enough pieces to use 5 per turkey
  • ½ cup pecan halves optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base: Line a pan with parchment paper. Break up the pumpkin pie in a large mixing bowl and mash everything—filling and crust—until fully combined.
  • Add the Graham Crumbs: Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs. Start with ½ cup and add more until the mixture is firm enough to roll into balls without sticking.
  • Roll and Chill: Use a scoop to form equal-sized balls and place them on the prepared pan. Chill for 30–60 minutes (freezer for faster results) until firm.
  • Prep Decorations: While the balls chill, cut candy corns in half—keep the pointy ends for “beaks.” Set aside candy eyes, full candy corns, and pecan pieces for “feathers.”
  • Melt the Chocolate: Melt chocolate and white wafers according to package directions. Prepare a second parchment-lined tray for the coated balls.
  • Coat and Decorate: Work with a few chilled balls at a time. Dip each one in melted chocolate using two forks, letting excess drip off. Place on parchment and immediately press on two candy eyes and one candy corn beak before the chocolate sets. Repeat with all balls. Chill again until set.
  • Add Tails: Re-melt leftover chocolate. Dab a small circle on parchment for each turkey “tail.” Press a coated ball onto the lower edge of the chocolate puddle, then add 4–5 candy corns or pecan pieces as feathers. Chill again to harden completely.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Once set, arrange the little pumpkin pie turkeys on a platter and watch them disappear faster than the real pie.
