Ingredients

  • 16 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 24 ounce marinara sauce
  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • fresh basil for serving

Instructions

  • Cook the spaghetti until just al dente according to package directions. Drain well, toss with olive oil, and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease, then stir in the marinara sauce and remove from heat.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish. Add just over half of the cooked spaghetti in an even layer.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the spaghetti layer.
  • Top with the remaining spaghetti, then pour the meat sauce evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and finish with parmesan.
  • Bake uncovered until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  • Let the spaghetti bake rest before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired, then serve.
