  • Prep: Pell and slice the apples into wedges. You can do this with an apple slicer or by using a knife.
  • Fry: In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt the butter. Add in the apples and the splash of lemon juice. Cook the apples for 10 minutes, then increase the heat to medium-high.
  • Measure out the water and then dissolve the cornstarch into it, whisking until combined. Pour the water over the apples and stir together to combine. Sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the top of the apples, stir to distribute.
  • Continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the syrup has thickened and the apples are crisp and tender. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Leftover fried cinnamon apples can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm them up in a skillet over low heat or in the microwave for a few seconds.
