- 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
HOMEMADE TERIYAKI SAUCE
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
Salt and pepper the chicken thighs.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry chicken thighs on each side for 7 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
Mix all teriyaki sauce ingredients except cornstarch and water in a bowl. Dissolve the starch in water and then pour it into a cup of sauce - this way you will avoid lumps. Mix everything again.
Pour the sauce into the pan after frying the chicken and heat for 2 minutes, stirring.
Transfer the chicken thighs to the pan and toss them until they are completely coated with the teriyaki. Heat for another 5 minutes, being careful not to thicken the sauce too much.
Serve teriyaki chicken with rice and broccoli. Before serving, you can sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
