Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

HOMEMADE TERIYAKI SAUCE

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Salt and pepper the chicken thighs.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry chicken thighs on each side for 7 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
  • Mix all teriyaki sauce ingredients except cornstarch and water in a bowl. Dissolve the starch in water and then pour it into a cup of sauce - this way you will avoid lumps. Mix everything again.
  • Pour the sauce into the pan after frying the chicken and heat for 2 minutes, stirring.
  • Transfer the chicken thighs to the pan and toss them until they are completely coated with the teriyaki. Heat for another 5 minutes, being careful not to thicken the sauce too much.
  • Serve teriyaki chicken with rice and broccoli. Before serving, you can sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
