Apple Pie Milkshakes
Caramel Apple Pie Milkshakes are made by blending vanilla ice cream with a homemade caramel apple sauce made with fresh apples! This delicious milkshake recipe is perfect all year long!

- 2 apples peeled, cored, and diced very small
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch salt
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 scoops vanilla ice cream about a pint
- 2 cups cold milk of your choice
- Optional Toppings graham cracker crumbs, whipped cream, caramel sauce, and apple slices for garnish
Make the caramel apple sauce:
Place a saucepan on the stove over low-medium heat.
Add the apples, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stirring frequently, cook until the brown sugar has dissolved and the apples are softened.
Increase the heat to medium, add the heavy cream and vanilla extract to the pan, and cook, stirring constantly, until the liquid mixture resembles a thick caramel.
Remove the pan from the heat and set aside to cool completely.
Make the milkshakes:
Add the ice cream, milk, and caramel apple mixture to a blender.
Blend until just combined.
Pour into two 12 oz. glasses. Garnish with desired toppings, and serve.
