Ingredients

  • 3 pound pork loin
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP minced dried onion
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Prep: Place the pork loin in a slow cooker.
  • Marinade: In a medium bowl combine the chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, brown sugar, dried onion, garlic salt and paprika. Pour the mixture over the pork loin.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours until the meat is fork tender.
  • Remove the pork and shred it.
  • Sauce: Take the liquid from the slow cooker and place into a large skillet and over medium heat reduce the liquid until it becomes a thick sauce.
  • Mix the shredded pork with the sauce. Serve over rice, buttered noodles or alongside roasted potatoes. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
You want to check your pork for tenderness starting at 4 hours; you do not want this to dry out.
