Caramel Grapes

Caramel Grapes are a new and exciting way to enjoy this popular fruit! The idea for candied grapes is simple: take a bunch of grapes, dip them in melted caramel & candy melts, cover with pecans and let them cool. YUM!

Ingredients

  • 20 Grapes washed & patted dry
  • 11 oz Kraft Candy Caramels
  • 1 TBSP Milk
  • 1 cup White Candy Melts
  • ¼ cup Finely Crushed Pecans

Instructions

  • Caramel: Unwrap caramels and place in a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 TBSP milk and microwave for 1:30. Let sit for an additional 2 minutes. Stir gently, then microwave in 30 second intervals, letting caramel sit 1 minute and stirring between intervals, until caramel is smooth.
  • Prep: You need to wash and remove stems from about 20 grapes. Then insert a toothpick into each grape, place on a parchment covered baking sheet.
  • Coat: Dip grapes gently into your melted caramel and tap off the excess. Set down gently onto a piece of parchment paper. (If caramel drips off, scrape caramel back into bowl and let cool for 5 minutes, then try again.)
  • Let caramel harden. Remove the toothpicks from each grape.
  • Candy coating: Place your candy melts in the microwave, for 45 seconds at a time, until smooth and melted. Stir throughout the melting process.
  • Drop one grape at a time in your melted chocolate. Coat completely and then remove with a fork. Shaking off any excess.
  • Chill: Place down gently onto your parchment paper. Sprinkle with pecans. Place in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy! It tastes just like a candy apple, only bite size.

Notes

Caramel apple grapes should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can be stored for up to 3 days, but it is recommended to consume them as soon as possible for the best taste and texture.
