Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 Tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2-3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 Tablespoons mini chocolate chips {optional}

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all of the pancake ingredients untilwell combined. The order in which you combine these ingredients does notmatter, just that they are all mixed together completely.
  • Let the batter sit and start to preheat your griddle or pan for cooking thepancakes. Heat the pan to medium temperature for about 3-5 minutes, allowingthe pan to heat evenly over the entire surface.
  • Then, lightly spray the griddle with non-stick cooking spray to preventsticking. You can also use butter and spread it over the pan as well.
  • Next, pour or spoon about a 1/4 cup of the pancake batter onto the griddleto form your pancakes.
  • Flip them over after about 2-3 minutes, when the bubbles form in the center,and the edges look set. Then cook the other side until golden.
  • These are best served with butter and syrup for a delicious treat. You canalso make them extra special with whip cream and a fresh berry on top!
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
