Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup orange soda

Filling:

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup orange soda
  • 3 oz box orange Jello

Topping:

  • 1 small package vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 small box orange jello 3 oz
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 8 oz Cool Whip thawed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9X13 pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cake mix with the butter, eggs and orange soda. Mix for about 2 minutes and then pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cake cool completely before adding the filling (about 1-2 hours).
  • When cake is cooled, use the handle end of a wooden spoon to poke holes about 1” apart in the cake. Add 1 box of orange jello to boiling water and stir until dissolved. Add the cold water and orange soda and mix together. Pour the Jello mixture over the cake, making sure to go over all of the holes. Place in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours for Jello to set.
  • To make the topping, mix pudding with milk and other box of jello and the vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Fold in the Cool Whip and frost the chilled cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
