Ingredients

  • 3 TBSP butter
  • 2 TBSP flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt butter in saucepan on medium-low heat. Once the butter has melted, whisk in the flour.
  • Gradually add in milk, whisking to combine as you go. Once all the milk has been added and it's hot ( careful, do not boil!) add the cream cheese. Whisk to combine.
  • Bring the sauce to an almost boil, then add in the Parmesan cheese. Whisk well until cheese is melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.
  • Add in the salt, garlic powder and pepper to taste.
  • Simmer sauce until all is melted and smooth.
  • Serve over pasta & enjoy!
